Late last year after all of the many wedding galleries were finished, I felt like I’ve deserved a break, so I was looking for something close to me and also beautiful to spend a few days, just to get my batteries charged! I remembered people telling me good things about North Wales, so I thought I’ll give it a try.

The Beautiful North Wales
Sunday, April 3rd, 2011Is there spring already in Bristol?
Tuesday, March 1st, 2011It’s been a long time since I posted something in my blog and that is because of several reasons, but mainly because I have moved my studio from one part of Bristol to another – the most amazing part of Bristol called Clifton. I have now settled into new place and finally have the Internet connected.. it took just 5 weeks to connect it.. :)
Anyway, I have lot’s and lot’s of new photographs to share with you and I wanted to start with some nature shots I did few days ago. I know I know, I am supposed to post wedding images here and that I will do next time. This time I wanted to share something different.. Here it goes.. Few days ago we decided to take a walk around some local parks to see if the spring is already here or not yet.. We also thought we might feed some local squirrels by the way.. :) I took my camera with me and here are some shots from that day..
bristol harbour festival photo reportage
Friday, August 6th, 2010Last weekend Bristol Harbour Festival took place in Bristol Harbourside and lots of different places around the city with an eclectic mix of music, artists, circus acts, dance stages, fireworks and much more! It was one of the nicest festivals I have ever seen. And with 250 000 people visiting it over the three days, it was also a huge one! In fact this year it attracted the most people in the 39 year history of the event.
Organised by Bristol City Council, the Bristol Harbour Festival is one of the most-loved and most diverse festivals in the South West of England and also one of the biggest events in the country of it’s kind. Bristol’s city centre harbour comes alive with music, dance, circus, ships and boats, markets and fireworks for this amazing weekend spectacle.
Photo-reportage from St Pauls Carnival
Tuesday, July 6th, 20103rd of July, 2010 it was a special day for Bristol as St. Paul’s Carnival took place that day here in Bristol city! I happen to live near Portland square where the carnival is taking place for the 43nd time already! Although for me it was the first, but definitely not last St Pauls carnival.
For those who don’t know, St Pauls carnival, which began back in 1967, is famous for the street parade of floats and children in colourful costumes. It’s not often when you can see so many colours in one place and it’s simply impossible not to capture all that beauty in photos.
With this year’s theme of Heroes and Sheroes, St Pauls carnival kicked off with a procession from Bristol’s Portland Square. Enjoy!
Wedding photographer now in Bristol
Thursday, May 6th, 2010It is time for big changes for us at Martins Kikulis Photography, as we are moving our wedding photography business from Yorkshire to Bristol this month and starting from June, 2010 we will be based in city of Bristol and ready to capture all the beautiful weddings in Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Gloucestershire and all the other nice areas around. Anyhow, that doesn’t mean that we will be available for photographing wedding only in West England! Not at all! We will still be available for wedding photography in Bristol, South-West UK as well as nationwide and as always – available for destination wedding anywhere in the world!
If you happen to be near Bristol some time, you’re very welcome to come and visit us, have a cup of tea and take a look at latest wedding galleries and beautiful wedding albums made by us.
Very much looking forward to get knowing Bristol better and capturing more and more weddings in West UK which on my opinion is one of the nicest areas to have wedding! And as this is photo blog after all, here comes a photo which I took some time ago while visiting Bristol. What you can see on picture is one of the most famous places in Bristol, the Clifton Suspension bridge.
