This September I was on a mission to capture a Chinese wedding of Alan & Ruth! It took place at the magnificent Belvoir Castle in the English county of Rutland. Alan and Ruth shared their big day with more then 100 of their guests and being a Chinese wedding every one of them had at least one camera to capture some of the action, so there was a very stiff competition for me. :) However, despite that, I believe I managed to capture Alan & Ruth’s wedding very well. Below is a selection of photographs to tell the story of their wedding day!
The Belvoir Castle in all it’s glory!

the guests arriving..
and the bride arriving in a rather special way..
Here’s what I meant by traditions of a Chinese wedding.. Everyone’s a photographer.. :)
…one of my favourite shots this year!
Cutting the cake in a wide-angle view
Once more – guests with cameras..
Some rooms in the amazing Belvoir castle were even better then others, so we took the chance and had a small photo-session in what should be one of the nicest rooms I have ever been!
Overall it was really a nice and well-organized wedding and I was happy to be part of it!

Wow! An absolutely stunning set of images Martin. The shot of the guests photographing the couple is just fabulous – I can see why it received an award. Wishing you a very successful 2011.
All the best,
