A few weeks back I had a pleasure to be invited to Colliters Brook Farm to photograph wedding of Amy and Rob! They are such a lovely couple and live locally in Bristol too. I really enjoyed photographing their wedding for many reasons, just to mention a few – I finally got to shoot in the magnificent Christchurch in Clifton which is a grand church not far from where I live in Bristol; there were also lot’s of lovely people at the wedding (for few of them I am shooting wedding next year, so I was being watched closely during the wedding :) ) and thirdly, the wedding party on the evening was true rock’n’roll – the craziest and wildest party – just have a look at the photos, you’ll see what I mean.
I had also never seen so many big guys at one place in wedding – I felt a bit like a midget :) That can be explained with the fact that Rob is a professional rugby player and many of his team mates were invited of course! And another thing to mention that was a first for me was the wedding cake competition – instead of having just one cake Amy and Rob had arranged a cake baking competition for their wedding guests, so they had not one but at least twenty cakes!!! :) I have included a few of those below.
And last thing to mention is their venue – Colliters Brook Farm – it’s a family run grade II listed farm house (circa 1733) set in its own grounds and located near Bristol – a lovely location for a relaxed wedding!

Here’s a quick look at the wedding cake competition Amy and Rob had arranged for the guests. I have never seen so many wedding cakes in one place! The winner was chosen by the bride and groom later and the cake which replicated the famous Clifton suspension bridge was crowned a worthy winner.
Winner of the wedding cake competition is crowned!
