This May I had the pleasure to be invited along to the amazing Huntsham Court to do photography at George and Petra’s wedding and what a great wedding it was! Firstly there was the venue – hidden in what is basically a middle of nowhere sits this amazing house called ‘Huntsham Court’ – a very fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture. The house and especially the grounds are absolutely amazing and I especially enjoyed the fact that the wedding party had rented the house for the whole weekend, which made everyone feel right at home. That always suits perfectly with my style of photography.
Secondly, there was the weather that day, which was a nice change from most weekends this year so far. The day was very pleasant, warm and sunny – perfect day for games and drinks in the gardens.
And thirdly, the couple themselves – they were such a pleasure to work with and allowed full freedom for my creative eye. Petra is originally from Finland and many of the wedding party had travelled from there, so it was a great mixture of cultures, languages and traditions. Finnish is not the easiest languages to learn, but despite that George had prepared part of his speech in Finnish, which was a big hit with the Finnish delegation.. no idea how the speech went though, as I don’t understand a word in Finnish.. :)
Anyway, enough talk, enjoy the photos!
