Jennifer and Francis make a beautiful couple inside and out and they had the most amazing (and hot) wedding in Syon Park. It was my first time visiting Syon Park and surely not the last one. It’s a wonderful west London venue – home to the Duke of Northumberland. Great for photos with it’s impressive gardens and giant size conservatory – it suited this wedding especially well, just look at the attention to details everywhere, especially the food and table settings.
I’ve lived in Bristol for quite a while now and despite ‘SS Great Britain‘ being one of the most renowned wedding venues locally, I still hadn’t photographed a wedding there. That changed last month when I was very glad to be invited along to Andrew and Leah’s boat-thamed wedding which took place in quite a few boats on Bristol Harbour, including the aforementioned SS Great Britain. The best thing about the wedding though was the couple themselves – they’re absolutely gorgeous two people and I so enjoyed their company on the day. It almost felt like I was invited to their wedding as one of the guests, not as photographer.. It’s always the best way to work and to get the most amazing and personal moments in photographs.
This next story I am very excited to share with you.. Kumaran and Gayathri traveled all the way from Singapore to visit England and for their pre-wedding shoot with me. England holds a very special place in their hearts, especially because of it’s nature and greenness, which you can’t find to often in Singapore. So we decided not to visit London for the usual big city shots, but instead to head to a proper English countryside and what an amazing two days it was.. We saw the ocean, medieval cities, oldest street in Britain, red phone booth in middle of nowhere and much more..
Simon and Gemma had amazing wedding celebrations in Great Tythe Barn, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire and I was very glad to be invited along to do their wedding photography. Here’s what’s came out of it.
This May I had the pleasure to be invited along to the amazing Huntsham Court to do photography at George and Petra’s wedding and what a great wedding it was! Firstly there was the venue – hidden in what is basically a middle of nowhere sits this amazing house called ‘Huntsham Court’ – a very fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture. The house and especially the grounds are absolutely amazing and I especially enjoyed the fact that the wedding party had rented the house for the whole weekend, which made everyone feel right at home. That always suits perfectly with my style of photography.
A few weeks back I was invited to photograph Bill and Lisa’s wedding in Silchester House in Berkshire. Silchester house is run by Bijou Weddings – I have shot quite a few weddings in one of their other venues – Botleys Mansion, which is superb, so I was expecting rather a lot from Silchester House. It didn’t disappoint – the house, and especially the grounds, are beautiful and suited very well for some great portrait shots with the couple.
This wedding was quite unusual for a number of reasons, it was also planned and put together by Lisa and Bill in just a few months time, which, I must say, didn’t show at all, as everything was organised impeccably.. It was also one of the latest bookings for me ever, the booking was made just over a week before the wedding and we only sorted out the last details the evening before the big day..
