It was a cold but very sunny September day when Anthony & Steph held their wedding at the spectacular Sandon Hall. I didn’t even met the couple before the wedding and was completely trusted with their photography on the day. Whilst shooting back to back weddings in the windy and cold September I had managed to catch cold quite badly, so thanks guys for the tea and well wishes! :)
It was my first time shooting a wedding in the Sandon Hall and wow, what a venue it is!! Set in 400 acres of rolling parkland (which sounds a lot to me :) Sandon Hall is a grand 19th century country mansion located in Sandon, Staffordshire. The gardens, the Victorian conservatory and the mansion itself made a truly great background for photography. Oh, and the couple of children attending were a first class photo-models too.. :)
Anthony and Steph are both automotive mad, to put it in Stephs’ words, and that showed on the wedding.. Stephanie booked a vintage double decker red bus to pick up Anthony and guests as a surprise, she also arrange a smaller red bus as a present to one special little guy and of course her transport to the venue was a proper vintage ride, while transport for bridesmaids was a very modern camper van named George.
Here are some of the suppliers for this wedding: Bride’s Dress – White Rose Bridals; Suits – Slaters Menswear; Transport – Birmingham Wedding Cars; Catering – Jenkinsons; Band – Jukebox; Music for Ceremony – Wigornia String Quartet; Venue – Sandon Hall; and finally – check out George, the campervan.
