Andrew & Leah, SS Great Britain, UK

I’ve lived in Bristol for quite a while now and despite ‘SS Great Britain‘ being one of the most renowned wedding venues locally, I still hadn’t photographed a wedding there. That changed last month when I was very glad to be invited along to Andrew and Leah’s boat-thamed wedding which took place in quite a few boats on Bristol Harbour, including the aforementioned SS Great Britain. The best thing about the wedding though was the couple themselves – they’re absolutely gorgeous two people and I so enjoyed their company on the day. It almost felt like I was invited to their wedding as one of the guests, not as photographer.. It’s always the best way to work and to get the most amazing and personal moments in photographs.

Andrew and Leah run a boat at Bristol Harbourside called ‘Under the Stars‘ which is probably one of the finest places in Bristol to chill, have a pint of cider or even join one of the many events taking place there, including open mic nights, film showings etc. It’s now have become one of my favourite places to go on those very rare weekends when I am not away shooting weddings.. :) It was also a place for Andrew and Leah’s pre-wedding party with cakes (lot’s of them) and drinks in the sun, while Leah and her bridesmaids where getting ready in the nearby Marriott Hotel. Everyone was then transported (by boats, of course) to the SS Great Britain for wedding ceremony, which was followed by reception on the SS Great Britain’s deck and a tasteful meal afterwards. Ohh, and there was also some serious dancing and partying later in the night..

Andrew and Leah, I absolutely loved spending the day with you guys, thanks for inviting me! I wish you all the success and love in the world!
